Our approach to ensure stability in our most vulnerable communities during this crisis

The health, vitality and quality of life for all our residents are of the greatest importance to us. This virus will undoubtedly have a significant and disproportionate impact on our most vulnerable populations and on our already challenged neighborhoods and communities.

Most importantly, we strongly encourage all residents, businesses, and not-for-profits to closely monitor the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations related to COVID-19 on a regular basis to ensure that the integrity of our health care systems remain intact and our residents remain as healthy as possible.

Hamilton County Community Foundation has joined Central Indiana Community Foundation and The Indianapolis Foundation, in its approach to the COVID-19 pandemic in Central Indiana to ensure that the health, economic stability, and service to our most vulnerable communities are being met during this crisis. A key piece of that response was creating the Hamilton County Crisis Response Fund—a flexible fund to provide resources to not-for-profit organizations that are responding to those impacted by COVID-19 and experiencing financial challenges. Operating grants will provide support to community-based organizations that work with seniors, youth and economically vulnerable populations.
